For 60 years, the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) has been a leading international NGO focused solely on Africa – working to conserve the continent’s unique wildlife asset. To achieve our mission, AWF works within Africa, but at a global level and scale with partners that include national governments, institutions and individuals throughout the world. AWF recently implemented its ten-year Strategic Vision 2020-2030. In its effort to achieve the ambitious goals, AWF continuous to focus its efforts on attracting, developing and retaining talent. AWF enjoys a high retention rate which although undoubtably is a good thing, has also presented a challenge in terms of progression. This has led to a very steep structure over time. This has also resulted in a limited salary banding to accommodate the multiple levels.
