For 40 years, Wilderness has been dedicated to driving conservation and hospitality in Africa. Their purpose today is stronger than ever in their dedication to growing the world’s wilderness, together. Operating in eight countries with over 60 camps, Wilderness exists to protect wilderness areas and the fauna and flora they support. Wilderness believes that by protecting these areas, and including local communities in this process, they will make a difference to Africa and ultimately the world. AWF and Wilderness are partnering together with Rwanda Development Board to invest in a bold conservation and development vision for Volcanoes National Park landscape, home to the world’s growing but threatened Mountain Gorilla population.
