Anne Scott served as an associate judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois from 1982 to 1991 and was a practicing attorney focusing on commercial litigation from 1974 to 1982. She served as an elected commissioner of the town of Jupiter Island, Florida from 2006 to 2012, when she was elected as a commissioner of Martin County, Florida. She is a trustee for numerous organizations, including Rush University Medical Center, Shedd Aquarium, and the Chicago Botanic Garden.
