Program Manager – Conservation Enterprise
AWF is currently seeking an operational lead for its diverse conservation enterprise program. Working with AWF’s Heartland teams, this position will identify and rationalize high-potential enterprise opportunities in support of AWF’s large landscape conservation objectives. In addition to work within AWF’s traditional conservation enterprise portfolio, this position will support African Wildlife Capital, an investment company owned by, and operating under the mission of AWF.
Senior Program Design Officer – Washington, DC
AWF is currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to spearhead AWF’s resource mobilization strategies from US government and other bilateral and multilateral donors for its programs in West and Central Africa. Working with the program implementation teams, the successful candidate will lead the investigation and preparation of bids in response to specific funding opportunities. In addition support sound grant management and reporting. This position will enable analysis and documentation of lessons learnt; document best practice within AWF and prepare technical publications.
Finance and Administration Assistant
AWF is currently seeking a talented individual to provide administrative, logistical and financial support to its Park W Heartland. Working under the supervision of the Regional Director, Central and West Africa and in liaison with the Finance & Administration teams; the Finance & Administration Assistant (FAA) shall ensure accurate compilation of the Heartland’s financial activity for daily posting into the financial system, work closely with the procurement team in maintaining vendor records and profiling new vendors. S/he will manage petty cash, oversee costs and advances relating to employee travel and workshops, and ensure proper upkeep of office, equipment, vehicles and other facilities.

Conservation Management Training Program
Consistent with our historic focus on conservation leadership development, AWF is now pleased to initiate a program geared toward developing leadership capacity within AWF. AWF’s 24-month intensive “Conservation Management Training Program” will recruit high-potential future conservation leaders from the best Master’s degree programs worldwide. During this program, Trainees will spend time in AWF’s Conservation Centre in Nairobi, Kenya working directly with AWF’s best thinkers, and be deployed at one or more AWF project sites across the continent to gain on-the-ground experience. Trainees will emerge from the program ready to serve as serious conservation professionals in African conservation.
Internship Program
AWF periodically has openings for interns in support of various departments. AWF provides a platform for interns to expand their knowledge of African conservation issues, apply academic knowledge in real life situations, and learn new skills that will enhance their careers.
