Help AWF Protect the Bonobo
This Unique Great Ape Needs Your Support

The bonobo is a great ape found only in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) between the Congo River, the Lomami River, the Kasai/Sankuru Rivers, and the Lake Tumba/Lac Ndombe region. AWF recently helped establish a protected area in the Lomako Forest in that region, and will soon open a permanent scientific research center in the heart of bonobo habitat. The conservation research center will support wildlife surveys, training of Congolese researchers, and development of conservation plans.

But to keep the center up and running we need your help. Your support will also help AWF establish a survey and monitoring network of bonobos and large mammals in the Congo Heartland. Donate today and help conserve Africa's bonobos.
