Elephants Don't Know Borders
AWF is taking on 23,000 elephants and three countries. It’s ambitious and that’s why we need your help. AWF has developed an elephant management strategy for the countries of Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe. We conducted the first coordinated, cross-country aerial survey ever completed in this landscape. But we’re not done. With your help, we want to expand our elephant research and conservation by hiring our own AWF Elephant Research Scientist in the Zambezi Heartland. This researcher and his or her team will be able to provide the three countries with crucial information to better manage and hence better protect the elephant population of the Zambezi.
