Imagine an Africa without lions, leopards or hyenas. At AWF, we can’t. That’s why our Large Carnivore Research Project is working day after day in extreme conditions to ensure that conservation measures are in place to protect large carnivores. The main goal of the Large Carnivore Research Project is to gain an understanding of predators in the Kazungula Heartland – their populations, their behaviors and their movements – and their interactions with people in order to develop appropriate conservation actions. But the research team is small and needs help from our supporters.
